there should be a portal for municipalities to identify and contract with disabled owned businesses for things like project management to construction the state should provide funding for necessary trainings/certifications for disabled business owners disabled business owners should be given access to a list of state services, potential connections for clients (like a statewide chamber) so that they can grow their business... more »

Preferred Contracting and Certification

Many if not all States have programs to certify minority- ad women-owned business and even provide them with the opportunity to contract with the State using quotas or soft targets. Some States even open up this type of program to veteran-owned or disabled veteran-owned business.
